JOB SUMMARYThe Parts Technician manages and dispenses parts inventories, is responsible for stock handling, identifying and cataloguing parts and assemblies, researching, ordering, receiving, inspecting, sorting, issuing, and selling parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Parts knowledge and computer skills.
- Able to multi task in a fast pace/high demand environment.
- Waiting on customers either in person or on phone calls.
- Pull parts for orders from stock.
- Invoice parts.
- Re-stock parts inventory.
- Maintain parts counter.
- Putting away incoming freight.
- Must be able to lift up to 100lbs.
- Must be able to be on feet 10-12 hours a day.
- Provide information about products, such as availability, operation, or description.
- Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
- Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
- Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience in Materials, Logistics, or Heavy Equipment / Light Duty parts is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
- Good communication skills are a must and will be required to participate in daily toolbox meetings and weekly safety meetings.
- 2+ years experience in Fleet Focus
- 2+ Years of SAP or similar purchasing program.
- 2+ Years of Warehouse style experience.
- Having Mechanical experience is a Plus for candidates
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Driver License required.
