JOB SUMMARYThe Heavy Equipment Partsman is responsible for receiving, processing, organizing, and distributing materials and parts to support Heavy Equipment and Light-Duty repair operations. This position coordinates material logistics and documentation to ensure parts and materials are available when needed to meet equipment repair schedules. The position performs material support functions within the Heavy Equipment and Light-Duty repair facilities, as well as warehouse operations, and provides support to the Materials group and surplus activities as needed.
ESSENTIALDUTIES
- Assist with determining material needs with Mechanics, Equipment Shop, and Material Coordinator.
- Check in and review purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and payments for accuracy.
- Ensure supplier and related documentation are processed according to Company standards.
- Monitor material warehousing and ensure items are stored according to Company and customer requirements.
- Support other positions within Inventory, Receiving, and Issuing as needed within the Materials group.
- Working knowledge of heavy equipment as well as light duty vehicles and equipment is preferred.
- Will maintain Shop inventory levels and perform issuing and receiving as well as physical counts.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid (U.S issued) Driver's License is required.
- A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
- The ability to work 84 hours a week on a 2x2 or 3x3 rotation is required.
- At least three (3) years of experience working in Materials or Logistics or working with Equipment and Light- and Heavy-Duty Parts is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
- Previous experience in using fleet management software is required.
- Previous experience in using inventory management software is required.
- Five (5) or more years of experience working in Materials or Logistics or working with Equipment and Light- and Heavy-Duty Parts specifically in the Petrochemical or Oil and Gas industry, on the North Slope, and/or in other Arctic environment is preferred.
