State and Local Tax Associate

A highly respected client of ours is seeking a State and Local Tax Accountant to join their fast growing in house team. This firm is a global financial services organization known for its technology-driven platform and strong commitment to its well balanced work environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a state and local tax professional who enjoys technical work, cross-functional collaboration, and expanding their impact beyond compliance into research, planning, and process improvement.

• Prepare, review, and file state and local income/franchise, sales/use, and property tax returns
• Support state and local tax audits and respond to notices
• Research SALT laws, regulations, and guidance; monitor legislative changes
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, and other internal teams across the business
• Identify opportunities for tax planning and process improvements
• 3 days in office

• 4-6 years of state and local tax experience, specifically within the partnership space
• Sales and use tax experience is preferred
• CPA preferred
• Demonstrates strong communication and organization skills
• Experienced using tax software and AI automation tools
