Staff Accountant About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and financially strong organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its growing finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to expand their experience in a collaborative environment while gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting and financial reporting responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a desire to contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies within the accounting function.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and record journal entries across various areas including cash, accruals, intercompany transactions, financing activities, interest expense, taxes, and other general ledger accounts.
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Analyze balance sheet accounts, prepare supporting schedules, and recommend adjustments.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Support treasury and cash management functions.
- Assist with special projects, audits, and ad hoc reporting requests as needed.
- Partner with accounting leadership to support ongoing business and departmental objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2 plus years of progressive accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA licensure.
- Strong experience working with ERP systems
