The State of Connecticut, Developmental Services (DDS) - West Region - is accepting applications for one (1) full-time Secretary 2 position supporting Private Administration Community Companion Homes (CCH) in Waterbury, CT.

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Secretary 2 supporting the Private Administration CCH. In this vital role, you will independently perform a full range of secretarial and administrative functions that ensure the smooth, efficient operation of the program.

As a trusted member of the team, you will design, organize, and maintain office files and filing systems, design and maintain tracking systems to support operational functions (e.g. referrals, funding, potential licensees, plan of corrections), distribute, track and manage data in support of the program (e.g. annual agreements, training requirements, etc.), and serve as a key point of contact for staff, visitors, and external partners.

Your ability to prioritize tasks, maintain accurate records, and coordinate multiple administrative processes will directly support operational success.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to program operations by organizing office files and tracking systems, coordinating meetings, drafting/preparing and formatting correspondence and reports, assisting with onboarding and background checks, managing expenses and supplies, and supporting staff with day-to-day administrative needs such as faxing, copying, scanning and sending/receiving mail.

The incumbent will also assist with the administrative component of new hires (e.g. setting up office, getting access to systems, etc.), compile information from a variety of sources (e.g., prepare statistical reports, charts, graphs), write minutes and/or take notes of meetings, prepare expense reports (e.g., orders, requisitions, invoices), and order office supplies while maintaining inventory.

* Monday - Friday | 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
