**** position summary:
** this position is responsible for validating guest tickets upon entry to an event, offering venue information and guiding guests to their seats.
** primary duties and responsibilities****:
** includes but not limited to:
* scans guest tickets upon entry to an event and guides guests to their seats
* collects and validates patron tickets to events
* provides information to patrons about the venue
** secondary duties and responsibilities:
*** addresses patron complaints and issues or refers them to a shift manager, as needed
* assists in maintaining a safe and secure patron experience according to department policies and procedures
** minimum education and qualifications:
*** previous customer service experience preferred
* must be able to communicate effectively in english
** competencies:
** incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
* good verbal communication skills
* knowledge of the arena and the property layout
* ability to work as part of the event staff team
** training requirements:
*** knowledge of the casino property and its offerings
* knowledge of the arena’s emergency evacuation plan
** physical demands and work environment:
*** must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs for extended periods of time
* must be able to work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions
