Provides leadership and oversight for the Infant/Toddler Program by supervising staff, managing daily operations, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality early childhood education. Ensures compliance with Early Start CT requirements, NAEYC accreditation standards, Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC) regulations, CACFP requirements, and agency policies. Assists the Director in the overall management of the Early Childhood Division and assumes responsibility for Division operations in the Director's absence.

- Lead and supervise Infant and Toddler Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and support staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Support hiring, onboarding, staff development, scheduling, and classroom coverage to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Oversee the daily operation of the preschool program, maintaining safe, high-quality learning environments and appropriate staff-to-child ratios.
- Guide teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, assessments, and individualized learning plans that support children's growth and school readiness.
- Partner with families, community agencies, and local school districts to support child development and successful kindergarten transitions.
- Ensure compliance with Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC) regulations, NAEYC accreditation standards, Early Start CT, CACFP requirements, and all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor program quality through classroom observations, documentation, recordkeeping, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning, program evaluation, staffing, and agency-wide initiatives.
- Represent the organization at professional meetings and maintain high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and mandated reporter responsibilities.
- Assume leadership of the Early Childhood Division in the absence of the Senior Early Childhood Director.
Must meet QSM requirements for the state, Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, or related field or a combination of documentable education and work experience.
