Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated mid-level engineer with either a Bachelors or Masters degree in mechanical, civil, or aerospace engineering and 3+ years of experience in structural mechanics, stress analysis, structural design, material modeling, or shock analysis and testing.
Experience supporting research, development, engineering, and design efforts with a focus on DoD and DoE systems is particularly valued.
Candidates should be self‑motivated and have a strong background in analytical and numerical modeling, with expertise in dynamic events and material response under dynamic conditions.
Must be able to acquire a Secret clearance or higher, and relocation to Groton, CT or Arlington, VA will be provided along with industry best benefits.
Key Experience- Finite element analysis codes (ABAQUS, NASTRAN, ANSYS, LS-DYNA)
- Explicit and implicit solution methods
- Linear and nonlinear techniques
- Material constitutive, equations of state, and failure models
- Metallic, composite, and polymer structures design and analysis
Annual Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 USD
