Mortgage Loan Officer – Waterbury Market

This is a salary plus commission position.

Under the direction of the AVP/Mortgage Lending Officer Sales Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the origination of residential and consumer mortgage products, managing mortgage sales efforts to increase the Bank's CRA delineated lending communities, and managing lending community events.

Key responsibilities include:

• Determine financing objectives and goals of applicants; conduct loan interviews; explain mortgage products and how they benefit the applicant.
• Prospect and network with local centers of influence including realtors, attorneys, financial advisors, builders, and civic and religious leaders to build referral sources.
• Receive and screen loan applications; pull, review, and analyze credit; gather financial data; communicate with clients to resolve discrepancies; analyze tax returns to determine income for self-employed borrowers.
• Accurately explain all federal and state required disclosures, including Loan Estimate, Change of Circumstance, and Closing Disclosure.
• Monitor personal monthly production goals aligned with the Bank's KPIs and department's Tactical Operating Procedures.
• Maintain current knowledge of and compliance with BSA/AML, TRID, HMDA, CFPB, OFAC requirements and all bank policies and regulations.
• Keep abreast of federal and state laws related to consumer rights, non-discrimination, fair credit reporting, etc.
