Description

The Inpatient Surgery Department at Saint Mary’s Hospital is a 23‑bed unit specializing in the pre‑ and post‑operative care of patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures, including bariatric, orthopedic, ortho‑trauma, neuro‑spine, mastectomy, urological, gynecological, and gastrointestinal surgeries.

12‑Hour Night Shift, 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Your Role
  • Deliver direct, hands‑on care to patients with complex surgical needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans focused on promoting recovery and restoring patients to their pre‑surgical level of wellness.
  • Provide exceptional care and support for patients requiring overnight or extended post‑operative stays.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:

    Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred.
  • Licensure:
    Current and valid Connecticut RN license.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 1 year in an acute inpatient setting.
  • Certifications:

    BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Work Schedule
  • 12‑hour shifts, 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
  • Schedule includes weekend and holidays.
