Overview

A top-tier regional law firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Counsel-level attorney to join its Business Immigration and Compliance practice. The ideal candidate will have substantial employment-based immigration experience, deep regulatory knowledge, and strong writing and client advisory skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead preparation and review of nonimmigrant (H‑1B, L‑1, TN, O‑1, E‑1/E‑2) and immigrant (EB‑1, EB‑2, EB‑3) visa petitions
  • Draft RFE responses, complex PERM filings, and extraordinary ability petitions
  • Advise corporate clients on I‑9, E‑Verify, and immigration‑related compliance in connection with M&A and internal audits
  • Develop customized immigration strategies tailored to clients across diverse industries
  • Manage client communication and oversee time‑sensitive, high‑volume caseloads
  • Collaborate with team members across offices and practice groups
Requirements
  • 6+ years of business immigration experience (broad-based)
  • J.D. from an accredited law school; admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (CT preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience with immigration compliance, due diligence, and government inspections
  • Familiarity with case management systems and billing protocols
  • Excellent legal writing and analytical skills; ability to independently draft complex filings and correspondence
  • Passion for immigration law and regulatory compliance
