Description

We are currently seeking all shifts for CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machine Technicians that are skilled professionals responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines. These machines are used to manufacture parts and products by precisely cutting, drilling, and shaping materials such as metal, plastic, or wood.
Key Responsibilities- Machine Setup:
Preparing and setting up the CNC machines for operation, including installing and adjusting tools, dies, and other components as per the specifications of the job. - Programming:
Inputting or editing machine code to dictate the machine's actions. Technicians often use CAD and CAM software to develop and modify these programs. - Operation:
Operating the CNC machinery to produce parts, starting the machine, monitoring its operations, and making adjustments as necessary to ensure product quality. - Quality Control:
Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure they meet specifications, using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers. - Maintenance:
Performing routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating and making minor repairs to keep them running efficiently. - Troubleshooting:
Diagnosing and fixing problems with CNC machines, which may involve working with engineers or other specialists. - Safety Compliance:
Ensuring all operations comply with safety regulations and company policies, including wearing appropriate protective gear and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. - Collaboration:
Working closely with other manufacturing personnel, such as engineers, production staff, and other technicians, to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality. - Continuous Learning:
Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies and advancements in CNC machinery and programming techniques.
- Technical
Skills:- Proficiency in operating CNC machines, including understanding G-code and M-code.
- Knowledge of machine setup, calibration, and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Experience:
- Hands‑on experience with CNC machines, either from previous employment or training programs.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or software issues in CNC machinery.
- Personal Attributes and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Good problem‑solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina for operating machinery.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
