Packing Machine Operator, 2nd Shift
Waterbury, CT
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Position SummaryJoin a growing manufacturing team as a packing machine operator, where you’ll play a key role in inspecting and packaging finished coated products for shipment. This is a hands‑on opportunity with on‑the‑job training, ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to quality and safety in a fast‑paced production environment.
Responsibilities- Package finished coated products into cartons for shipment
- Tape, label, and stack cartons onto skids properly
- Inspect cans and coating for defects according to quality standards
- Move completed skids to designated staging areas
- Maintain clean and organized work areas (housekeeping)
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
- Assist with general production support as needed
- Strong, verifiable work history with reliable attendance
- Ability to follow safety rules and wear required protective equipment
- High attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Physical stamina with ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting (noise, machinery, fumes)
- High school diploma or equivalent; manufacturing experience preferred
Monday–Thursday: 5:00 PM — 5:00 AM
Overtime required as needed (including Fridays)
