We are seeking a Registered Nurse Manager to provide both clinical leadership and direct nursing support across multiple DCF-licensed residential programs across Central Connecticut.
The Registered Nurse Manager is a clinical leader responsible for overseeing nursing and health-related services while remaining actively engaged in the day-to-day medical needs of residents. This role balances management, regulatory oversight, and hands‑on nursing care, ensuring high-quality health services, regulatory compliance, and strong collaboration with program leadership and direct care staff.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and oversight of nursing and health-related services across assigned residential programs
- Supervise, train, and support staff in the safe administration of medications in accordance with DCF and DDS regulations
- Ensure all required medical documentation is accurate, timely, and maintained in NAFI’s EHR system
- Oversee coordination of medical, psychiatric, and specialty care, including appointments, follow-up, and continuity of care
- Ensure implementation and monitoring of physician orders for medications and treatments
- Serve as a clinical liaison with medical providers, pharmacies, hospitals, and DCF/DDS medical departments
- Participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning (IP) meetings as needed
- Provide on-call consultation and guidance related to changes in client health status
- Develop and deliver staff training related to medication administration, infection control, chronic health conditions, nutrition, and client‑specific medical needs
- Monitor compliance with state regulations, licensing standards, and agency policies
- Provide direct nursing support within residential programs as needed, including health assessments, medication review, and response to emerging medical concerns
- Maintain a regular on-site presence to support staff, observe medication administration practices, and ensure consistent implementation of clinical standards

Desired Qualifications- Current State of Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Experience in residential, behavioral health, or community‑based human services preferred
- Working knowledge of DCF and DDS regulations, including Medication Administration Certification requirements
- Demonstrated experience supervising, coaching, or training staff
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to balance hands‑on clinical work with management responsibilities
- Commitment to trauma‑informed, person‑centered care
Salary: $85,000.00 / per year (Central Connecticut)
