Inpatient Behavioral Health Registered Nurse RN

Job Summary

This full‑time RN position at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT focuses on behavioral health nursing for patients and families. The role includes nursing support, educating families during admission, leading patient observations, milieu management, and addressing emergent needs.

12 Hour Day Shift

• Nursing support for patients and families as a catalyst for change and empowerment toward recovery from behavioral health conditions.
• Provide meaningful feedback to the multidisciplinary team to tailor treatment goals to individual needs.
• Educate and support patients and families during the behavioral health admission process.
• Lead patient observations, milieu management, and communicate/ address emergent needs of patients.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN preferred.
• Licensure:
  Current RN license in Connecticut.
• Certification: BLS required.
• Preferred:
  Behavioral or Psychiatric nursing experience.

• Full‑time – 36 hours per week – days.
• Rotating every other weekend/holiday.
• Hourly position, included in RN Step Program pay range: $36.15 to $59.95.
