Position: RN Supervisor or Charge Nurse - Hartford, CT | Leadership Opportunity

Overview

Full-Time | Evening/Night Leadership Schedule | 4 or 5 day work week. Competitive Compensation. Lead Clinical Excellence in a Specialized Inpatient Care Setting.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) to support daily operations within a 23-bed inpatient unit caring for medically complex patients requiring 24/7 nursing care. This unit provides a blend of medical-surgical and rehabilitation services and offers an opportunity to lead a highly collaborative team while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Support daily unit operations, staffing, and scheduling
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and staff development
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards
  • Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  • Assist with budget monitoring, productivity management, and resource utilization
  • Serve as a clinical resource and operational leader during evening and night shifts
  • Participate in workforce management, staffing adjustments, and performance evaluations
Qualifications
  • Active Connecticut RN License or Multistate Compact RN License
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory, leadership, or charge nurse experience
