Description: The Inpatient Surgery Department at Saint Mary’s Hospital is a 23‑bed unit specializing in the pre‑ and post‑operative care of patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures, including bariatric, orthopedic, ortho‑trauma, neuro‑spine, mastectomy, urological, gynecological, and gastrointestinal surgeries.
Your Role- Deliver direct, hands‑on care to patients with complex surgical needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans focused on promoting recovery and restoring patients to their pre‑surgical level of wellness.
- Provide exceptional care and support for patients requiring overnight or extended post‑operative stays.
- Education: Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred.
- Licensure: Current and valid Connecticut RN license.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an acute inpatient setting.
- Certifications: BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Full‑time, 30 hours, Days. 12‑hour shifts, 7a.m. to 7:30p.m. Weekend & holidays required.
