Experienced Operating Room RN needed for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Waterbury, Connecticut. Join a fast-paced surgical services team, support safe perioperative patient care, and enjoy a consistent weekday schedule with on-call coverage.

Operating Room Nurse

Job Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • At least 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
  • Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center preferred
  • AORN experience preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork in a busy surgical environment
  • Willingness to participate in weekday and weekend on-call rotation
Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, high-quality patient care in the Operating Room setting
  • Support preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiology, and perioperative team members
  • Maintain a sterile field and assist with surgical procedures efficiently and accurately
  • Monitor patients throughout the surgical experience and respond to changing needs
  • Follow established protocols, documentation standards, and patient safety practices
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented perioperative environment focused on excellent patient outcomes
