** Position Purpose*
* The Performance Improvement Specialist implements and maintains a compliant, comprehensive, organization-wide, Safety, Quality and Performance Improvement Program.

** What you will do*
* + Perform audits and gap analysis in response to patient and family concerns, department specific events or trends, and other authorized parties

+ Communicate serious adverse events occur and follow through on submission of required documentation

+ Analyze monthly data, create, and drive performance improvement activities, and help implement change

+ Assist in training safety curriculum for all staff

+ Conduct root cause investigations in surgery

+ Perform chart reviews and audits to support investigations

** Minimum Qualifications*
* + CT RN license required

+ Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, or related field preferred

+ At least five (5) years hospital experience preferred

+ Knowledge of regulatory requirements, patient quality of care and safety initiatives; RCA or Lean Management skills preferred

+ Leadership experience with regulatory requirements for reporting and subsequent response criteria
