American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for an ICU night shift position requiring a CT or compact RN license and community hospital experience.

• Work in the ICU of a hospital environment
• Adult patient population
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:30, with 36-hour schedules accepted
• 8-week contract length
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Floating required to MS/Tele and Tele units within scope of practice
• Uses Accudose medication system and Cerner documentation system
• Utilizes SBAR communication method

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CPI, NIHSS, and TNCC preferred
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Preferred experience with Cerner charting system
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Central line care and management experience required
• Proficient in starting and maintaining IVs
• Experience caring for ventilated patients and ventilator management
• Skilled in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips

• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, emergency response, infection prevention, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Blue scrubs required
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local candidates
