Schedule

20 hours per week, with 5-hour shifts over 4 days. The employee is required to work 3 weekdays and every Saturday.

Job Summary

Superior is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and dependable Part‑Time Sales Associate to support our hardware, homeowner products, garden center, and counter departments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has an interest in tools and home improvement, and takes pride in helping customers find the right solutions for their projects. The Sales Associate plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining organized shelves and displays, and ensuring customers have a positive in‑store experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance with hardware, tools, homeowner products, and garden center items
  • Assist customers at the counter and help locate products, making recommendations based on project needs
  • Stock shelves, organize displays, and maintain a clean, orderly sales floor
  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, and putting away merchandise
  • Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system for customer transactions
  • Answer product and department questions in person and over the phone
  • Support seasonal and promotional displays as needed
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management when stock is low
  • Follow all store policies and safety procedures
  • Assist in other areas of the store as needed to support team operations
Qualifications
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Interest or basic knowledge in hardware, tools, home improvement, and garden center products strongly preferred
  • Comfortable using a computer and POS system
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly, dependable, and team‑oriented
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 75 lbs
  • Willingness to work a flexible part‑time schedule, including every Saturday
