Compensation: $29.50-$36.85/hour (Based on experience)
About the OpportunityOur client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support manufacturing operations on the 2nd shift. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who enjoys working independently while keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently. You will begin with training on the 1st shift for approximately one month before transitioning to the 2nd shift. Once fully trained, you will serve as the primary maintenance technician on shift, providing mechanical support to production and toolmakers while responding to equipment issues as they arise.
The company is flexible with start times and shift length, so candidates are not required to work the full 5:00 PM-5:00 AM schedule.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment and building systems.
- Maintain compressors, motors, engines, pneumatic tools, conveyors, cranes, forklifts, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
- Repair and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
- Fabricate and repair machine components using welding equipment, cutting torches, plasma cutters, brakes, and shears.
- Fabricate machine guards, frames, and production support equipment.
- Maintain the facility's wastewater treatment system in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Complete preventative maintenance documentation and work orders.
- Assist with snow removal and property maintenance as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout, confined space, welding safety, fall protection, and hazardous waste procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Serve as the primary maintenance resource during 2nd shift, supporting production personnel and toolmakers with equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, compressor, motor, crane, forklift, and production equipment.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Welding, fabrication, torch cutting, and plasma cutting experience.
- Ability to operate fabrication equipment such as brakes and shears.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Strong troubleshooting ability with excellent mechanical aptitude.
