About the Role
Traver IDC is an EASA‑accredited electric motor repair facility serving industrial customers across New England. Our shop repairs everything from small electric motors to large industrial rotating equipment including AC and DC motors, pumps, and gearboxes.
We are looking for experienced mechanics who enjoy solving difficult mechanical and electrical problems and working on a wide variety of industrial equipment.
Responsibilities:- Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild industrial electric motors
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures
- Perform electric motor rewinds and winding repairs (if experienced)
- Rebuild gearboxes, pumps, and other rotating equipment
- Perform precision fits and alignments
- Assist with balancing and testing
- Work with technicians and engineers to troubleshoot complex repairs
Candidates may specialize in one or more of the following areas:
- Electric motor repair
- Motor rewinding
- Gearbox rebuilding
- Manual machining (lathe / mill)
- Welding and fabrication
- Industrial maintenance or millwright work
- 5+ years industrial repair or mechanical experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting ability
- Comfortable working with heavy industrial equipment
- Pride in quality workmanship
- Interesting, varied repair work
