Records Coordinator

• Manage and respond to public requests for DCF records under Act 173
• Receive, route, and reply to communications related to Act 173
• Handle internal records requests
• Review records containing child abuse or neglect investigations, injury photographs, intake reports, police reports, medical exams, and traumatic-event narratives
• Communicate with traumatized people making records requests

• Associate’s degree or higher in a field related to human services, or two or more years of administrative experience in a human services program
• Candidates must pass any applicable level of background investigation
• Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, DMV checks, and adult and child abuse registry checks may be conducted as appropriate
• Ability to lift boxes weighing 20 to 30 pounds
• Resilience and ability to cope with routine exposure to secondary trauma
• Ability to communicate with traumatized people making records requests

Demonstrates expertise in managing public records requests under Act 173, with a strong focus on communication and support for individuals experiencing trauma. Possesses the ability to handle sensitive information and navigate complex administrative processes in human services.
