Weston & Sampson has an immediate opening for a Geotechnical Project Manager with 8+ years of experience in our Waterbury, VT office. The candidate must have comprehensive experience with geotechnical analyses including slope stability, settlement, and soil/structure interaction, development of appropriate foundation and site‑related geotechnical recommendations, and report preparation. Field experience associated with subsurface investigations and earthwork construction is required. Experience with dams preferred.

What you’ll do:
  • Responsible for project management; preparation of proposals, complex technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Some travel will be required to client meetings and project sites.
What you’ll bring:
  • MS with concentration in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years of diverse and proven geotechnical experience.
  • Experience with CAD, dam safety engineering, seepage analyses, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling related to dams is a plus.
  • Familiar with geotechnical aspects of Building Codes and Design Manuals.
  • Strong construction experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and decision‑making skills.
  • Must be motivated, responsible, and able to work independently.
  • PE certification is required.

Salary Range: $90, based on experience
