This Financial Manager II position manages individual Medicaid budgets within the Disabilities, Aging & Independent Living (DAIL) Developmental Disabilities program. The role involves tracking and monitoring budgets using Excel spreadsheets, running reports in the State's Medicaid database (MDWAS), approving payments in the VISION finance system, and serving as backup to DAIL's contracts and grants specialist.
Key qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in accounting or bachelor's degree with 20+ accounting credit hours plus 2+ years professional fiscal operations experience
- OR Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 4+ years professional accounting, budgeting, or fiscal analysis experience
- OR Associate's degree with 6+ years professional fiscal operations experience
- OR High School diploma with 8+ years professional accounting or fiscal management experience
- Experience with VISION system (State of Vermont's People Soft financial management system) preferred
- One year as Financial Manager I with State of Vermont OR CPA certification can fulfill requirements
