The Vermont Department of Public Safety seeks a Director to lead the Vermont Crime Information Center, overseeing criminal justice information programs serving law enforcement, support agencies, and the public. The Director manages a team of experts across programs including the National Crime Information Center, Uniform Crime Reporting, fingerprint identification, criminal history databases, and the sex offender registry, while representing Vermont in national justice information collaboration efforts.
Key qualifications:
- Master's degree in public administration, criminal justice, criminology, computer science or related field with 2+ years professional program administration experience
- OR Bachelor's degree in same fields with 4+ years professional program administration experience
- Experience with development, supervision or operation of automated systems or statistical analysis and reporting
- Security clearance required
- Detail-oriented and strategically minded with strong human relations skills
