Position Information
Location: 149 Main Street, Waterbury, VT
Pay: $19.00–$21.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time (must be available Saturdays)
Requirements: Valid driver’s license
Central Vermont Habitat for Humanity is seeking a Full-Time ReStore Floor Supervisor to help lead daily operations at our busy Waterbury ReStore location. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys retail, teamwork, and making a direct impact in the community through affordable housing.
What You’ll Do- Support the ReStore Manager with day-to-day operations
- Supervise staff and volunteers on-site
- Coordinate store layout, merchandising, and product flow
- Train team members on pricing, safety, and customer service
- Assist with onboarding new staff and engaging volunteers
- Handle customer questions and resolve issues as needed
- Oversee daily cash handling and register reconciliation
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment
- Work toward sales goals while identifying cost‑saving opportunities
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Basic math skills (cash handling required)
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
- Retail experience is helpful but not required
- Interest in vintage items, antiques, or collectibles is a plus
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to safely lift and move items (up to 50 lbs with assistance) and work in a physically active environment
- Work may include indoor, warehouse, and outdoor conditions in all weather
- Ability to climb ladders (up to 6 feet), reach, stoop, push, and carry items required
- Employment contingent on background check, substance screening, and driving record review
