Day & Zimmermann is currently accepting resumes for consideration for a Timekeeper to support our client site in Waterford, CT.
What You'll Be Doing- Collect, review, validate, and enter time and attendance data for a large, multi-craft employee population supporting nuclear maintenance, modification, and construction activities.
- Coordinate with supervisors and managers to ensure timely submission and approval of employee time, including regular, overtime, shift differentials, outage work, and premium pay in accordance with site labor agreements and company policies.
- Review time entries for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with nuclear site requirements, labor agreements, and payroll policies; resolve discrepancies and obtain corrections as needed.
- Accurately enter approved time data into SAP and perform daily and weekly balancing to ensure payroll accuracy and audit readiness.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation to support payroll audits, regulatory reviews, and internal controls required for work at a nuclear facility.
- Support strict adherence to nuclear safety culture by demonstrating attention to detail, procedural compliance, and confidentiality when handling employee and payroll information.
- Interface with Payroll, Accounting, Human Resources, and site management to address timekeeping questions, corrections, and reporting needs.
- Associate's degree in a related field of study or equivalent years of relevant work experience in a maintenance/modification or construction environment.
- Prior payroll, timekeeping, or accounting experience preferred, with experience supporting a large workforce highly desirable.
- Previous nuclear power plant or nuclear project experience preferred, including familiarity with nuclear work rules, outage support, or regulated environments.
In compliance with state pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $22,000 - $95,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
