LEARN, southeastern Connecticut's Regional Educational Service Center, invites candidates to apply for a full-time Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher opening at Creating Connections Early Learning Center in Waterford, Connecticut.
General Scope of ResponsibilitiesThe ECE Teacher is responsible for implementing a quality educational program and developing positive relationships with the children and their families. Teachers observe and document children’s interests and progress, and relay that information back to families and other staff. They create and implement developmentally appropriate activities based on children’s interests and needs under the direction of the Site Coordinator.
Relationship within the OrganizationThe ECE Teacher reports to and is evaluated by the Early Childhood Education Site Coordinator.
Duties Program Development and Implementation- Plan, coordinate, and implement a program to meet the physical, emotional, social, and educational needs of children aged six weeks to three years in accordance with Center policy, Connecticut Office of Early Childhood Education guidelines, and NAEYC Accreditation Standards and Code of Ethics
