Airgas is Hiring for a Counter Sales Associate/Delivery Driver (Non CDL)

We are looking for you!

• Hourly Pay: $26/hr-$29/hr
• Monday - Friday, no weekend work!
• Required to have a valid drivers license, we will run a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

A Counter Sales Associate (90% of job duty) will partner with our customers to provide industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and other essential supplies. You will serve as a trusted guide,
advising customers on the tools, hardware, and materials needed to successfully complete their projects. By demonstrating equipment use and sharing insights on product quality, you help our customers pioneer new solutions in their own work.

• Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment to ensure a secure environment for everyone.
• Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external partners, fostering understanding and long-term relationships.
• Ensures all required paperwork is accurately completed, including coding, costing, and pricing.
• Partners with customers to identify the best tools and procedures for their specific tasks; demonstrates equipment use to build customer confidence.
• Manages order entry and processes transactions; assists the team with the reconciliation of deposits.
• Coordinates via phone, e-mail, and in person with customers and team members to provide helpful information on costs and delivery.
• Contributes to an outgoing call strategy to support the continued growth and success of the branch.
• Coordinates the transfer of merchandise between locations to meet customer needs.
• Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a supportive manner with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
• Stocks shelves and maintains welcoming showroom displays to provide an excellent customer experience.
• Coordinate cylinder movement and pallet organization

As a Delivery Driver- non CDL (10% of job duty) you will be making hot shot deliveries to customers. Supporting the team by operating a small box truck. Expected to make deliveries 4-5 times a month.

• Safely loads, delivers and unloads cylinders containing compressed gases to customer location, ensuring excellent service.
• Conduct cylinder inspections per operating procedures to maintain high safety standards.
• Conducts pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure a supportive and safe work environment.

Are you a MATCH?

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Regular Drivers License
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments (we also value an equivalent combination of education and unique life experience).
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Required to lift up to 60lbs

• A background in gas, welding, or safety supplies is a wonderful asset.

Familiarity with SAP, Google, or MS Office Applications.

• A detailed understanding of SAP and PROS functionalities.
• The ability to communicate clearly and warmly with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds.
• Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus.
