• Project a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware by greeting customers upon entry and while they are in the store.
• Thank customers by name where possible, and maintain a friendly, outgoing demeanor.
• Clear checkout lines quickly and efficiently.
• Answer and monitor all calls and pages promptly, courteously, and effectively.
• Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance.
• Build product knowledge and assist customers with store layout and product location.
• Assist in pricing, stocking, marking, and bagging of merchandise.
• Follow all cash register transaction procedures and balance the register drawer.
• Adhere to Store Support Center programs or promotions that require implementation at the cash registers.
• Participate in store and cashier meetings.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the front end, including checkout areas and entrance doors; keep impulse counters stocked and faced, rotate fresh merchandise as seasons change.
• Ensure fresh ads and supplies are stocked at all times and assist with front‑end decorations per store programs.
• Call for cart pickups when necessary and inform management when merchandise returns need to be put away.

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Cashier experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25 lbs), and climb.
• Ability to exhibit and incorporate ARG’s Core Values:

$13.73 per hour.
