Spanish - World Language Teacher / FTE 1.0
EFFECTIVE: 2025/26 School Year
Hazel Park Schools is seeking applicants for the position of Hazel Park High School Spanish - World Language Teacher, for the 2025/2026 school year. The school is served by a caring and professional teaching staff providing instruction to approximately 600 students. The Hazel Park community is proud and supportive of its schools, the staff and student population.
Specific Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Teaching certificate
- Must possess a secondary teaching certificate with an FF endorsement
- Demonstrate a written and spoken fluency of the Spanish language
- Create instructional resources for use in the classroom
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities
- Create positive educational climate for students to learn in
- Meet course and school-wide student performance goals
- Participate in ongoing training sessions
- Create lesson plans, aligned with common core and modify accordingly throughout the year
- Provide grades and administer assessments timely
- Create projects and activities that are designed to create higher level thinking
- Read and stay abreast of current topics in education
- Utilize district curriculum resources
- Tutor students on an individual basis
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
- Provide on-going communication to parents on student progress and classroom activities
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures
Accordance with the Salary Schedule - H.P.E.A. Contract
