Oakland County is seeking an IT Supervisor II - Infrastructure Services to lead enterprise infrastructure services that support critical systems used by departments and residents across the County.
This role is ideal for a technical leader who enjoys guiding teams, improving systems, and balancing day-to-day operations with long-term modernization.
What You'll Do
* Lead and support a team responsible for enterprise infrastructure services.
* Oversee the Systems Integration team that supports mission critical middleware services such as:
* Identity & Access Management
* Database services (SQL Server/Oracle, high availability, disaster recovery)
* Application virtualization
* Data Transport
* DNS, DHCP, IP Administration
* Web application hosting
* Ensure systems are reliable, secure, and scalable.
* Partner with security, architecture, and application teams to meet business needs.
* Drive continuous improvement through automation and modernization initiatives.
* Supervise, mentor, and develop staff.
Support budget planning, vendor relationships, and service performance.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, PCI, and CJIS.

Minimum Qualifications
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
A. REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. a. Possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; AND
b. Have had six (6) years of full-time work experience in information technology, which must include three (3) years of supervisory work experience in any of the following:
1. Systems analysis and design.
2. Information Technology Infrastructure Services; OR
2. a. Possess an Associate's Degree or equivalent education from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; AND
b. Have had at least eight (8) years of full-time work experience and three (3) years supervisory experience as specified in 1B above; OR
3. a. Be a high school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Education Development (GED) test.
b. Have had at least ten (10) years of full-time work experience and three (3) years supervisory experience as specified in 1B above.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Functions as a supervisor over a group of professional and technical employees. Instructs, assigns, schedules, checks work, and appraises performance. Participates in decisions to hire, discipline,
discharge, and award pay increases and/or promotions.
