Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Enjoy working with children
- Positive attitude
- Demonstrated positive work attendance record
- Greet students before/while boarding the bus
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus
- Show students to their seats
- Maintain order to ensure students behave and follow safety rules
- Ensure students are secured in their seats and that safety equipment is in place, such as securing wheelchairs with provided ratcheting straps
- Assist students with special needs, including using specialized equipment
- Document student behaviors and incidents by logging information
- Using specialized training to administer rescue medication when necessary
- Learn evacuation procedures and emergency procedures
- Escort students off the bus, to the office, or possibly the classroom
- Provide assistance with keeping the bus clean
- Other duties as assigned
