Enrollment Specialist
The Enrollment Specialist provides behind-the-scenes administrative support to ensure employee enrollment tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. This role focuses on data entry and eligibility verification rather than direct phone-based customer interaction. It is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable professional experience and build a strong foundation in administrative and operations work while helping the team reduce a backlog of enrollment activities.
Responsibilities- Perform high-volume, accurate data entry to support employee enrollment processes.
- Review and verify eligibility information for enrollment in various programs, including Medicaid-related plans.
- Use Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook to manage, track, and update enrollment data.
- Navigate and work within multiple software platforms and multi-screen computer setups to complete tasks efficiently.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure enrollment tasks are completed correctly and on time.
- Learn and apply new processes quickly during training and transition to working independently afterward.
- Maintain organized records and documentation to support administrative and operations workflows.
- Collaborate with team members as needed to resolve data discrepancies and support backlog reduction.
- Work with large volumes of data while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in data entry.
- Solid computer proficiency, including experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to effectively use multiple software platforms and multi-screen computer setups.
- Capacity to learn new processes quickly and apply them consistently.
- Ability to work independently after training with minimal need for ongoing direction.
- Self-motivated work style and strong organizational skills.
- Experience with eligibility verification processes, including Medicaid-related tasks.
- Previous exposure to administrative or operations environments handling large volumes of data (preferred).
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in data entry or back-office administrative roles.
- Experience in eligibility verification or benefits enrollment is helpful.
- Experience working in environments that require managing large datasets or high transaction volumes.
- Comfort using a variety of software systems and adapting to new tools.
- Strong written and basic documentation skills to support administrative processes.
This role is part of a professional administrative and operations environment focused on supporting employee enrollment activities. Work is primarily computer-based, using Microsoft Office applications, multiple software platforms, and multi-screen setups to manage and process large volumes of data. The position is not customer-facing via phone and centers on behind-the-scenes support to help the team address a backlog of work. JobType & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Waterloo, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.21 - $22.21/hr.
