Your Responsibilities

As an Administrative Assistant for JD Waterloo Works located in Waterloo, IA, you will:

* The Drivetrain Operations Administrative Assistant - Office Lead / Communications plays a critical role in creating an engaging, informed, and well-organized workplace for both production and salary employees.

* This position serves as the primary coordinator for site communications, employee engagement activities, office operations, leadership support, and visitor experiences.

What Skills You Need

* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop clear, engaging messages for diverse employee audiences.

* Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

* Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with leaders, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.

* Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel.

* Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and independently prioritize and execute work with minimal direction.

What Makes You Stand Out

* Experience developing and executing employee communications, including newsletters, digital channels, and site-wide messaging.

* Experience managing SharePoint sites, permissions, communication platforms (e.g., Staffbase), and related governance processes.

* Experience supporting employee engagement, recognition, culture-building, and workplace events.

* Proven ability to coordinate executive visits, leadership reviews, large meetings, tours, and special events.

* Familiarity with manufacturing environments, continuous improvement practices (5S/CI), and content creation or graphic design tools.

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

* Associate's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field; OR equivalent relevant work experience.

* 1-2 years of experience in administrative support, office coordination, communications, employee engagement, or a related role.
