Are you efficient, detail-oriented, and excited about helping people? The Iowa Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) is looking for an Eligibility Determinations Administrative Support Assistant (Job Classification: Administrative Support Assistant
1) to provide essential clerical and customer service support in our Black Hawk County office Monday
- Friday from 8 am - 4:30 pm

. This role is perfect for someone who keeps things running smoothly, enjoys working with others and making a difference in their community.

Note:

New hires will start at the base salary of $16.24 hourly, $1,299.20 biweekly, $33,779.20 annually.

What You’ll Do
  • Handle important documents: scanning, indexing, uploading, and distributing mail and correspondence.
  • Provide friendly, professional assistance to customers and staff - both in person and over the phone.
  • Enter and update information in a variety of computer systems.
  • Stay informed on policies and procedures through training and meetings.
  • Support team members as a backup when needed.
