Skilled Construction Craftspeople

Peters Construction Corporation has openings for skilled construction craftspeople. We are a Commercial General Contractor based in Waterloo who works primarily in Northeast Iowa. We are proud to have been voted an Employer of Choice for the past 3 years in a row and 7 of the past 9 years by the Waterloo Courier.

We are looking for the right people to join our team in various construction trades:
Carpenters
, Steel
Workers
,
Framing, Drywall, and
Concrete
Finishers
. The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years of experience but consideration would be given to those that have less experience.

They must show a commitment to working Safely at all times while producing Quality work.

The candidate must also be able to work closely with a wide variety of Peters employees, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.

Job tasks will vary based on each project and the stage that each project is in at the time as well as the skills and experience of the employee.

Responsibilities of our Skilled Construction Craftspeople may include (but are not limited to) some or all of the following tasks:

• Metal and wood framing.
• Drywall.
• Installing doors, windows, cabinets, fixtures, and accessories.
• Concrete work.
• Operate a variety of construction equipment (fork lifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc.)
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
• Demolition and disposal of existing structures.
• General cleaning and housekeeping.
