Construction Superintendent

Job Type: Full-time

ATI Group is currently seeking a motivated, solutions-oriented Construction Superintendent to oversee on-site operations for our construction projects in the Iowa City metro and across Iowa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing construction sites, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Experience with commercial/industrial construction is highly preferred. Familiarity with local building codes and regulations is essential.

• Project Oversight:
  Manage daily on-site activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
• Team Coordination:
  Lead and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Quality Assurance:
  Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and complies with local building codes.
• Scheduling:
  Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes and delays.
• Safety Compliance:
  Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment, complying with OSHA and local regulations.
• Communication:
  Serve as the primary point of contact between on-site teams and project management, providing regular updates on progress and issues.
• Documentation:
  Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including work performed, materials used, and any incidents or delays.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
• Skills:
  
  Self-starter with strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Technology:
  Proficient with standard office software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PDF tools. Ability to navigate cloud-based platforms from desktop and mobile device (e.g., Google Drive, One Drive, Dropbox, or similar).
• Knowledge:
  Understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
• Experience:
  
  Construction supervision with experience in commercial/industrial construction.
• Certifications:
  
  OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification preferred;
  First Aid/CPR certification preferred. ATI can provide certification training if needed.

• Familiarity with the greater Iowa City metro construction markets.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with local permitting processes and building inspections.
