We are seeking an experienced, Fellowship-Trained, Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgery Physician to provide locums inpatient and call coverage across two affiliated facilities in the Waterloo–Cedar Falls area. This assignment is strictly hospital-based with clinic responsibilities, supporting a busy orthopedic service serving patients of all ages.
Schedule & Coverage- Coverage Type: Inpatient and on-call coverage
- Weekend Coverage: Yes
- On-Call Requirements: Yes
- Clinic Duties: None (hospital-based only)
- Average Daily Census: 10–20 patients across both locations
- Patient Population: All ages
- Consistent inpatient orthopedic volume
- Inpatient orthopedic consultations and management
- Surgical coverage as indicated
- Daily rounding on admitted orthopedic patients
- On-call coverage for orthopedic emergencies
- Collaboration with nursing, anesthesia, and ancillary teams
- Accurate and timely documentation in Epic
- Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship trained (Orthopedic Surgery)
- Active Iowa medical license or Active IMLC (Letter of Qualification required at name clear)
- Proven experience in inpatient orthopedic surgery coverage
- Comfortable managing a full scope of hospital-based orthopedic cases
