Responsibilities- Enhance academic performance and support implementation of the district’s student achievement goals.
- Provide multiple forms of evidence of student learning and growth to students, families and staff.
- Implement strategies supporting students, building and district goals.
- Use student performance data as a guide for decision‑making.
- Accept responsibility for creating a classroom culture that supports every student.
- Create an environment of mutual respect, rapport, and fairness.
- Participate in and contribute to a school culture focused on improved student learning.
- Communicate with students, families, colleagues and the community effectively and accurately.
- Demonstrate competence in content knowledge appropriate to the teaching position.
- Apply student development knowledge to make learning experiences meaningful and accessible.
- Relate ideas and information within and across content areas.
- Use instructional strategies appropriate to the content area.
- Plan and prepare for instruction using student achievement data, local standards and the district curriculum.
- Set high expectations for social, behavioral, and academic success of all students.
- Select strategies to engage all students in learning.
- Leverage technology and other resources in instruction.
- Use research‑based instructional strategies addressing all cognitive levels.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Analyze student progress in collaboration with staff and leadership.

- Develop and implement classroom procedures and routines supporting high learning expectations.
- Manage student behavior in accordance with regulations and policies.
- Maintain a safe and purposeful learning environment.
- Demonstrate continuous inquiry and learning habits.
- Collaborate to improve professional practice and student learning.
- Apply research, knowledge and skills from professional development to improve practice.
- Adhere to board policies, district procedures and contractual obligations.
- Maintain professional and ethical conduct as defined by state law and district policy.
- Contribute to efforts to achieve district and building goals.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Provide accurate records and information.
- Ensure substitute plans and procedures are in place.
- Protect equipment, materials and facilities.
- Participate in required meetings and conferences.
- Select appropriate channels for conflict resolution.
- Dress professionally to promote a positive image.
In addition, teachers assigned to special federal and state programs or grants must comply with Title I, IDEA, and other applicable regulations.
Qualifications- Appropriate degree(s) earned from an accredited college or university.
- Certified as K‑8 or 5‑12 Strategist I.
- Experience as a self‑starter with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff, parents, community members and students with disabilities.
- Knowledge of processes to address cultural diversity and related issues.
- Commitment and sensitivity to affirmative action, equal opportunity and human rights.
- Demonstrated conflict‑resolution skills.
- Co‑teaching background.
- Knowledge of Google Suite and basic computer security expectations.
- Fluency in the use of educational copyright laws and storage device management.
- Good record of collaboration and team service.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
