Position Details
Title:
Part‑Time Student - Manufacturing Engineer (JD Waterloo Works)
Location:
Waterloo, IA – onsite; relocation assistance is not provided.
This part‑time student program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full‑time staff and is available to students who can work in parallel to their school schedule year‑round. The position is not available to students on immigration visas.
Responsibilities- Prints and manages emission labels and serial plates
- Creates 3D models and manages additive manufacturing processes
- Assists Manufacturing Engineering staff
- Manages digital twin activities
- Creates visual aids to support the assembly process
- Pursuing a degree in a technical or engineering program (others may apply)
- Full‑time student at a local university or college
- Graduation date Fall 2027 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
- Mechanical aptitude
- Willingness to learn and a sense of urgency
- Available to work 16-20 hours per week during the academic year
- Available to work 30-40 hours per week during the summer semester
- Must be able to commute regularly to Waterloo, IA
- Computer‑Aided Drafting experience
