This position will work either 2nd shift (3:30 pm to Midnight) or 3rd shift (10:30 pm to 7 am), depending on production volumes. Please list shift preference on resumes. Minimal overtime.

As a Foundry OFP Manufacturing Engineer, you will plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering projects across the foundry. Operating in a team environment, you will collaborate closely with other engineers, supervisors, and operators within the order fulfilment process.

Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Technology or relevant work experience

This position may drive a
*** owned Gator inside the factory to get from the office area to a different office area in another part of the factory (all connected and indoors). Worker will need to successfully complete Deere safety training to be approved to drive this. They will transport their computer or parts/tools. Other workers could ride along if they are going to the same areas due to limited number of available Gators.

This would not be driven outside. May also drive their personal vehicle to other facilities within a 20 mile radius. Rental cars are not used for this travel.

Purpose:

Plans, coordinates, and performs manufacturing engineering work for a project or process. Operates in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fulfillment process. At this level, projects are of moderate scope and responsibility or may be a significant portion of a major and diverse project or process; decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers.

May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work for support personnel, contractors and suppliers.

• Contribute to the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters.
• Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions.
• Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards.
• Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure…
