Safety & Ergonomic Analyst

Waterloo, IA 50704
Contract Duration: 14 Months This will be a 1st shift position (7 am to 3:30 pm) with no overtime anticipated. This is an entry-level position into the safety and ergonomics profession.
Performs structured assignment that require analysis and interpretation of data and regulations to determine potential problems and recommended actions. Also provides technical support with the ergonomics process.
• Compiles and analyzes necessary data, documentation and correspondence to comply with safety regulations and health and safety management system requirements.
• Conducts safety audits and risk assessments to identify noncompliance with client standards, processes and applicable laws and regulations.
• Participates in incident investigations and ergonomic reviews and assists in determining effective correction action.
• Communicates results of analysis and interpretation to appropriate work group for awareness and any required action.
• Conducts ergonomic assessment and analysis of products, processes, packaging, equipment, tooling and methods used in the manufacture of client products.
• Conduct safety and ergonomic risk assessments on new or relocated equipment to identify ergonomics risks.
• Conducts ergonomic training for supervisors, operators and employees.
• Documents corrective actions and plans to make ergonomics improvements
Manager is looking for candidates who have MS Office experience (Word and Excel especially). Safety/ergonomics degree or certificate in safety field. Engineering or technical schooling will also be considered. Manager is open to recent grad candidates
