As a Respiratory Therapist you are the backbone of the Therapy Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they expect at Harmony House Care Center by utilizing scientific and clinical principles for the identification, prevention, remediation, and rehabilitation of acute or chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction, reviewing existing data, collecting additional data, and recommending actions to evaluate the respiratory status of patients.

You will develop the respiratory care plan and determine the appropriateness of the prescribed therapy, initiate, conduct, and modify prescribed therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, document necessary information in the patient’s medical record, and communicate information to members of the health‑care team. Your residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to keep them comfortable and safe.

To be considered you should meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Associate’s degree from a CoARC‑accredited educational institution.
• One of the following certifications: CRTT, CRT, RRT, or CCT.
• Current BLS/ACLS certification.
• Unencumbered State of Iowa Respiratory Therapist License.
• Preferably five (5) years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist; however we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
