As a
** Clinic Receptionist
** at Mercy One, you will act as a receptionist, greeting patients and visitors. Interviews and registers with new and established patients. Schedules patients for appointments in the computer system. Performs all point of service collection activities which include copays, ROA's, self-pay, high risk accounts, and balancing of cash drawers. Incorporates customer service standards when interacting with the colleagues and/or consumers.
Conducts insurance verification utilitzing Real time eligibility. Acts as a collaborating member of the Medical Group. Adheres to Mercy One's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision, values, and culture of Mercy One.

Schedule:

* · 28 hours/week
** General Requirements:*
* · Greet patients and visitors
· Interviews patients to verify information and enter data into the computer system.
· Conducts Insurance verifications, scans insurance cards and enters/updates computer system
· Schedule appointments for patients
· Collects payment of co pay, balance due, etc.
· Updates database consistently

* Education:
*
* · High School Degree or GED required.
· Completion of Medical Secretary program preferred.
· One year of experience in a clinic setting is preferred.
· Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with consumers and colleagues while performing their job duties.
