Lutheran Services in Iowa has an exciting opportunity for a Family Assessment Intake Worker in Black Hawk County.

DUTIES
  • Conducts and coordinates intake assessments with families to determine appropriate programming needs and optimize the home environment for children and parents through education, support, and advocacy.
  • Provides the first point of contact and responds to referral calls and inquiries for services.
  • Coordinates meetings with community partners and families.
  • Provides outreach and meets with assigned families in person via traveling by car to their homes or other community settings and contacts by telephone.
  • Facilitates community outreach events to promote LSI programming, including presentations, collaboration with community resources, and engagement of referral partners.
  • Work primarily during normal business hours with occasional after‑hours or weekend work required.
  • Must be knowledgeable of LSI programming options and community resources.
QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor’s degree in health or human service related field with a minimum of two years of related experience. This position requires a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, a good driving record, and the ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry, and a criminal history check.
