POSITION PURPOSE
Functions as the Operations Manager responsible for the direct supervision of supervisors and/or staff, and coordination of day‑to‑day operations in assigned areas of the Regional Health Ministry's Food & Nutrition Services Department. Directs all activities within the assigned area, which may include Retail Services, Production, or Business Management.

Responsibilities- Develop and manage preliminary program budgets; support cost‑reduction plans and processes that align with organizational goals.
- Supervise operations, ensuring program service objectives are met and fostering a positive work environment.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for expense management and operations.
- Ensure financial objectives are met, manage annual revenue and expense budgets, and participate in budget reviews with the General Manager.
- Provide leadership on quality improvement, customer satisfaction, and performance improvement plans.
- Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and coach staff; manage disciplinary actions and HR processes.
- Manage safety, quality, and compliance across production, catering, and retail operations.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping, vendor procurement, and cash handling procedures.
- Coordinate menus, dietary programs, and nutritional analysis updates.
- Ensure events are approved, planned, and executed per policy.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations, compliance requirements, and policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- BA/BS in institutional management, dietetics, or related field; 3+ years progressive healthcare food service experience or equivalent combination (e.g., CDM certification plus 5 years supervisory/management experience).
- Strong leadership, analytical, planning, coaching, and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Self‑starter with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to diversity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Works in a well‑lighted, well‑ventilated area; exposed to standard food service conditions (noise, heat, humidity).
