EHS Director ML

A global industrial manufacturing organization is seeking an EHS Leader to support multiple operations and drive a unified safety and environmental strategy across its footprint. This person will be tasked with shaping programs that enhance compliance, reduce risk, and strengthen a proactive safety culture. The role offers strong visibility, influencing both site-level execution and broader organizational initiatives. It’s an excellent opportunity to step into a strategic leadership position with international scope.

• Develop and execute EHS strategies, including performance metrics, engagement initiatives, and communication plans.
• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations across U.S. and international operations, including oversight of reporting systems and standards.
• Lead risk assessments, change management efforts, and business continuity planning initiatives.
• Manage audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts while maintaining environmental management systems (ISO 14001).
• Mentor and lead EHS team members while partnering cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or a related field.
• 5–7+ years of EHS experience within manufacturing, with prior leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge across core EHS disciplines, including compliance, industrial hygiene, incident investigation, and environmental permitting.
• Professional certification, such as CSP, ASP, or CHMM preferred.
• Proven ability to influence, communicate effectively at all levels, and drive cultural change within an organization.
